The LOOKOUT PASS SKI PATROL
The Lookout Pass Ski Patrol is one of the oldest ski patrols in our nation having joined the National Ski Patrol member organization immediately after it's inception in1938. To this day we carry the registration number P009 as the ninth patrol joining NSP in the nation. This award winning group of volunteers has served our Lookout Pass Ski area continuously for over 75 years to date. Lookout is an all volunteer non-profit 501-C patrol under the NSP's designated region, division and national program.
Lookout’s famous Free Ski School for kids was founded by the Lookout Pass Free Ski School organization in 1942. This is the longest running ski school of its kind in the nation whose dedicated volunteers have taught thousands of area youth the life skill of skiing and snowboarding. The Lookout Pass Ski Patrol has provided consistent quality service to the ski school along with the entire snow sport community at the Lookout Pass Recreation Area.
Lookout Pass is on the divide that creates the Idaho – Montana state line. The Lookout ski area is one of three national ski areas where you can ski in two states in one run. Lookout Pass Recreation area terrain also resides in two different time zones and lays claim to be the #1 Powder Place! See why our patrollers are smiling a lot.
